Adam Wookey MCSP Founder & Lead Physiotherapist
Adam Wookey founded Fit forming with a clear vision: to empower individuals to maintain active, fulfilling lives, regardless of age or physical challenges. He is committed to building a strong, resilient foundation for every client, a core principle driving Fit forming’s integrated approach.
Adam's expertise is rooted in a comprehensive background, integrating Physiotherapy (NHS intensive care, orthopaedics, musculoskeletal care, and geriatrics) and personal training. This diverse experience enables him to guide clients effectively, from acute injury management to long-term physical resilience. His specialisms include shoulders, knees, and strength training for individuals aged 50 and over, with a focus on optimal exercise and loading strategies.
As a lifelong athlete with a background in rugby, long-distance running, Crossfit and Olympic Weightlifting, Adam’s knowledge and understanding of these sports, as well as triathlon and racquet sports, directly informs his training methodologies. He effectively guides clients seeking to enhance their physical performance, be it running further or lifting heavier, or simply maintaining the strength and fitness required for their sport.
Adam's approach is characterised by unwavering encouragement, a positive outlook, and personalised care. He is dedicated to helping people overcome pain and injury to unlock their full physical potential, ensuring they not only regain function but achieve sustainable wellbeing for the long term.
Adam FRASER MCSP Senior Physiotherapist
Adam Fraser is passionate about guiding individuals beyond injury, empowering them to achieve their health and fitness aspirations. His 16 years of clinical experience, spanning both NHS and private sectors, provides a robust foundation for his client-centred approach.
Currently, Adam serves part-time in the NHS as a Clinical Specialist in spinal care, bringing extensive expertise in acute soft-tissue trauma, orthopaedics, pain management, and hand therapy. His experience in A&E settings equips him with a unique ability to assess and manage acute injuries with precision.
As an accomplished endurance athlete, with multiple Ironman triathlons and ultramarathons to his credit, Adam possesses firsthand insight into the demands of athletic performance and the intricacies of recovery. This personal experience, coupled with his nutrition qualifications and running gait analysis expertise, allows him to provide comprehensive support to athletes of all levels.
Adam works collaboratively with clients, prioritising a deep understanding of their needs, challenges, and goals. His ultimate aim is to empower them to achieve lasting health and wellness improvements, enhancing both performance and overall quality of life.
